WHITE IN GAOL
Extra Drill Faced
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY, Nov. 30. The conscientious objector, William White, faces extra drill in full marching order or, ultimately, bread and water, if he refuses to obey orders at Holsworthy military corrective establishment, where he has begun serving a 21-day sentence. V-. The 21-year-old former Sydney teacher pleaded guilty and was convicted yesterday on two charges of having disobeyed an officer’s command. An Army spokesman said White could be sent into solitary confinement at Holsworthy if he did not obey orders. He said White would be allowed three visitors every 14 days. White’s solicitor told yesterday’s Court Martial that his client had made a second official application for exemption from national service. This application was due to be heard next month.
