STUDYING HEALTH

Male Nurse From U.K.

An English male nurse who received a Winston Churchill fellowship will spend six weeks in Christchurch studying public health services. He is Mr A. Anthony, of Bedford. He has been a district nurse for 18 years and is experienced in all types of home nursing. Mr Anthony arrived in New Zealand earlier this month and will begin his six-week stay in Christchurch on December 5. He said he had come to New Zealand to study because the health services here were of world standing. In Christchurch he will work with the Department of Health at Sunnyside Hospital and with the Nurse Maude District Nursing service. Mr Anthony has a certificate from the Queen’s Institute of District Nursing.
