56 WITHOUT DEFEAT

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON.

Millwall, the South-east London soccer club, set an English League football record on Saturday when it beat Carlisle United, 2-1, to go 56 games without defeat at home.

This beat the record of 55 set by Reading in 1936. Formed in 1885, Millwall is one of the oldest clubs in English football, but has never won a major honour.
