HIGHEST AWARD

Miss M. G. Havelaar has been awarded the order of merit of the International Union of Child Welfare tn London for her services to the Save the Children Fund in New Zealand. The order is the highest award which the union bestows. Miss Havelaar, president of the North Canterbury branch of the fund, was responsible for the foundation of the branch in Canterbury and has been president of the Dominion executive since its inception.
