THAILAND BATTLE

Two Killed Bv Guerrillas

(N.Z PA.-Reuter—Copyright > BANGKOK, Nov. 14

Armed Communist guerrillas killed two members of a 10-man police patrol in the jungles of north-eastern Nakorn Phanom province, according to reports reaching Bangkok today. Two police officers were killed, and three others seriously wounded. One of those killed was the leader of the patrol, Major Somboonn Ratanaprasat.

The police party was on the track of about 200 Communists who had been reported assembling in the jungle, when it became engaged in a furious halfhour gun battle on Saturday. Reports said Army troops and helicopters rushed to the jungle, but the Communists had dispersed.
