FLORENCE, Nov. 11

Nearly 700 towns and villages have been damaged by Italy’s disastrous floods, but no assessment of total damage is possible at present. The official death toll rose last night to 108, with 11 missing, but the final figure is expected to be considerably higher.

Christmas Lights.—London’s first sign of Christmas, the lights in Oxford street and Regent street, are being put up this week.—London, November 11.
