Certification Entries

The Department of Agriculture advises that entries in the seed certification scheme for 1966-67 from growers in Canterbury, Marlborough and Nelson close at the ofiices of the department on November 14 at 4.30 p.m. The species concerned are barley, Borre lupins, white clover and a number of grasses, lucerne, oats, ryecorn and wheat. An official entry form should be completed for each crop entered or re-entered for certification, and in case of first-year entries sufficient insert slips to cover the total quantity of seed sown in each area are to be submitted. A cropping history extending over the previous three years is to be supplied on the application form in respect of each entry. This is essential if the produce is to qualify for O.E.C.D. standards.
