CZECH FILM FESTIVAL
Actress To Visit Chch. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. Four Czech film personalities will visit Christchurch next month in conjunction with a Czech film festival, the Czech Charge D’Affaires, Mr J. Kovarik, announced today. In the party is a leading actress, Kveta Fiavola, who stars in one of the films, “Lemonade Joe.” Arnost Lustig, author of the screenplay for a second film, "Transport from Paradise.” Mr Lustig will be accompanied by his wife.
The leader of the party is Ladislav Pospisil, head of Czechoslovak Filmexport. The group will be in New Zealand from November 22 to December 12 and besides attending film festivals in Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch, will go on sightseeing trips and visit the National Film Unit. The other films selected for the festival are “A Blonde’s Love,” “A Jester’s Tale,” “Assassination,” and “Old Hoppers.”
