Dog Safety-Belts

(N.Z. Preu Aetociation)

AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. For Miss Andrea McCracken, aged 24, of Parnell, the trouble of keeping her dogs in her car, when she takes them for a drive, are over. The first car safetybelt for dogs made in New Zealand, possibly the first in the world, has been fitted on to her pets by an Auckland firm. Miss McCracken said

she has been having difficulty in keeping her dogs, Ruschka, an Alsatian, and Simon, a Labrador, from falling out of her car when she took them for a ride. A friend, Miss Helen Horton, stitched up some straps which served the purpose for a while. From the original idea -the Auckland firm designed the safety-belts for dogs.
