Rescue From Car On Fire
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 2. Two young children were rescued by a bystander when their mother’s car caught fire on the Great South road, Papatoetoe, this morning. The children were playing with matches while left in the car. They locked the doors of the car, but a bystander, seeing the smoke, managed to get his hand through a small wing window and open the door.
The two children were ill because of the smoke, but suffered no other injury. The upholstery of the car was damaged.
