MIDDY FIT AGAIN
Top-weight In Sprint There were no signs of the soreness which has kept Middy under veterinary treatment for most of this week when Mr G. B. Thomson’s good sprinter worked at speed on the course proper at Riccarton yesterday. Middy trotted back soundly after a fast workout—he ran half a mile in 50sec—and was still very free in his action when he cooled out.
Middy has responded quickly to a new treatment for splints. After yesterday’s gallop Mr Thomson confirmed that the Stewards’ aHndicap topweight would take his place in the field.
