Comalco Men To Visit N.Z,

(New Zealand Press Association! INVERCARGILL, November 3. Senior executives of the vast Australian aluminium combine, Comalco, would meet the Cabinet Works Committee tomorrow, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) confirmed in Invercargill tonight.

The Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan), who attended an election meeting with Mr Holyoake, said he would be flying to Wellington to take part in the discussions with the Comalco officials. The N.Z.P.A. Sydney correspondent reported that a spokesman for the combine said the trip was “just a routine visit.” “It would be a safe assump-

tion that Manapouri will be the main topic of discussion, but I would not attach any special importance to the visit,” the spokesman said. “This is just another of a regular series of trips across the Tasman for talks.” Comalco has an option of power from the hydro-electric station at Lake Manapouri to operate an aluminium smelter at Bluff.
