Marching Contests

The first of three contests to determine Canterbury’s representatives at the South Island and New Zealand marching championships will be held at Lincoln on Sunday. Thirty-three entries have been received for this, the first championship of the 1966-67 season. The midget, junior and senior grades all have 11 entries, including some from Methven and Ashburton.

The top three teams in each grade will attend the South Island championships and the leading two junior and senior teams will compete for the national titles.
