Parliament’s Diary
Parliament resumed at 3.40 p.m. yesterday after the State luncheon for President Johnson. Parliament received notification that the Royal assent had been given to 18 bills.
Several motions relating to the workings of select committees during the recess were dealt with.
General business, which included decisions on several petitions, occupied the rest of the afternoon.
The evening was devoted to the supplementary estimates, on which urgency was taken.
