Britain was exporting a bigger proportion of production than West Germany, Japan or the United States, said Lord McFadzean, chairman of the British National Exports Council. British exports for the first eight months of the year showed an increase of 5.5 per cent over the same period last year, he said. “At present £lOO million of exports are leaving Britain every week. In proportion to our gross national product, this is higher than West Germany, 50 per cent more than Japan, and three times the level of the United States.

Ghana’s Debts. —A conference of Ghana’s creditors, including Australia, will be held in London on October 25 and 26 to discuss rescheduling Ghana’s foreign debts.—London, October 13.
