TRAWLER SALVAGE

Another Attempt

In a further attempt to salvage the foundered trawler Rosalind near the mouth of the Hurunui river, Ryan Brothers will use a crawler tractor with winch and a crawler excavator.

They will try to raise the Rosalind from the sea bed where she rests after the abortive attempt to salvage her on Wednesday. Mr J. Ryan, a partner of the firm, will do skin-diving to try to get a line round the trawler. Two other skin-divers will stand by in case of mishap. The divers and the Lyttelton fishing trawler, Northern Light (Mr N. Brassell), which has been standing by to assist the Ryan Brothers, the present owners of Rosalind, will arrive at the site late on Saturday morning.
