(NZ. Press Association)

HAMILTON, Sept 28. Students of Waikato University wearing undergraduate gowns should be a common sight in Hamilton streets next year. The University Council today approved both undergaduate and graduate gowns which will be introduced next year. The undergraduate gowns, which students may wear on and off campus will be threequarter length in black. The sleeves will be corded with a separate colour to denote the different schools of study. Mr R. Diair, president of the Waikato University Students’ Association said the majority of students were very much in favour of undergraduate gowns.
