New Course At Rangiora The Rangiora Golf Club will open its extended 18-hole course to inter-club play with a sponsored tournament on Sunday, December 11. Sponsored by Amalgamated Wireless of Australis, Ltd., this amateur tournament will carry trophies to the value of £2BO. Entries will be limited to 108, 72 men and 36 women.

The club is hoping to attract the leading amateur South Island golfers. Two leading players who have already indicated they will be competing are J. R. Broadhurst, leading qualifier in the New Zealand amateur championships recently, and E. H. Richards, finalist in the match play championship. The extended course will be officially opened on November 18 when the club holds its closing day.
