LEGALISING WANTED
Prostitution In Vietnam r.V Z P A -Reuter—Copyright) SAIGON, September 28. A prominent South Vietnamese woman lawyer has called on the ruling military junta to legalise prostitution, according to press reports in Saigon. Mrs Nguyen Thi Vui told a Governmental advisory body last Monday that banning “the trade,” outlawed in South Vietnam by the former President, Ngo Dinh Diem, drove it underground, the reports said.
This led to an increase in venereal diseases among prostitutes, Mrs Vui said. She urged the Government to set up more clinics and reform centres for prostitutes.
