First Maori Matron In South Island

(N.Z. Press Association* WAIMATE, Sept. 20. Sister P. Pene today became the first Maori hospital matron in the South Island. She was appointed matron of Waimate Hospital, succeeding Miss W. W. Robertson. Sister Pene was senior tutor sister at the hospital.
