Bellbridge, a good third in the Wattle Gold Cup at Wingatui last Saturday, has taken no harm from his race. He looked bright at Invercargill yesterday when restricted to pacework, and will be fit for the Grandstand Handicap on the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring meeting. Rockfire, a two-year-old Jekyll gelding out of the Clmbrone mare, Lady Margaret, will be put aside after racing in the Juvenile Handicap on Saturday.
