Slight Dip From Peak GV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept 19. Net profit attributable to shareholders of Newton King, New Plymouth merchant and stock and station agent dipped from last year’s peak £168,549 to £166,044 in the latest year, according to a preliminary report to the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association.
Result is after £73,453 depreciation and £162,776 tax. Last year depreciation was £68,869 and tax £167,225. Steady 7 per cent dividend and 6 per cent preference dividend takes £79,313. Books will be closed from October 13 to October 27 and shares are e. dividend on October 13.
