McIndoe Wing

<N.Z. Press Association! DUNEDIN, Sept. 19. The new science wing at Otago Boys’ High School, Dunedin, will be known as the Archibald Mclndoe building, after the world-renowed plastic surgeon. Sir Archibald Hector Mclndoe. This was decided at the monthly meeting of the Otago Soys’ High School’s board of governors after a recommendation was heard from the rector, Mr D. J. Maclachlan.

Sir Archibald Mclndoe was educated at Otago Boys’ High School between 1914 and 1918 and was one of the most distinguished old boys in the fields of science and medicine. He died in 1960.
