He will be responsible to the Managing Director for the control and direction of all marketing and selling functions and will be specifically responsible for sales, sales training, sales and expense budgeting, distribution and warehousing, sales promotion and will be required to assist the Managing Director in agency negotiations. The Company has numerous branches and a large sales force. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have experience in Importing, distributing and selling engineering or electrical equipment and negotiating agency agreements with overseas principals. The successful applicant would probably have held a senior management position with a company importing engineering or electrical supplies and selling through established branches. AGE: 35-43 years preferred. SALARY * CONDITIONS: The primary consideration is to attract an outstanding man and salary negotiations will be fairly flexible. A commencing salary of about £3.500 should be taken as a guide only. A car will be provided and the usual fringe benefits associated with such a senior position apply. REF. No. 319 AK CONTROL ACCOUNTANT £2,250 A major Auckland manufacturing Company employing mass and batch production methods wishes to appoint a Control Accountant with superior ability and potential. The Company uses standard costing procedures and the Contro' Accountant will be responsible for the effective maintenance of these procedures and for the preparation and presentation of regular reports and data for all levels of management. He will work in the costing and pricing of products for the local market and for export. To assist him he will have a staff of five. Opportunities for further promotion are excellent. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be qualified Accountants, preferably holding additional qualifications in costing. Some industrial accounting experience is most desirable. The position calls for an intelligent man with an analytical and interpretative mind and who has the ability to co-ordinate the activities of his subordinates. AGE: 25-35 years preferred. SALARY AND CONDITIONS: A commencing salary in the range £1,750 £2,250 will be negotiated. Superannuation is available and removal expenses to Auckland will be paid. A Works Manager is required for its newly established factory which manufactures a range of products for the building industry. The Works Manager would be responsible to the Managing Director for the profitability of all the factory operations and he would have wide authority. There are outstanding prospects for further promotion for a man who can achieve results. QUALIFICATIONS: The man we are seeking will be experienced in al! general aspects of modern factory management Including Supervision, control and training of staff, production planning, stock control and quality control. Tertiary qualifications in science or chemistry and an acquaintance with process machinery would be an advantage. AGE: 30-40 years preferred.
