Good-quality salad vegetables realised firm prices In Christchurch produce markets yesterday. There was a good demand for other vegetables which were plentiful. Fair supplies of North island totmatoes were available. A range of prices is: Marrows: 15s a sack. Silver Beet: 4s to As 6d a case. Pumpkins: to 120 s a case. Cabbages: Savoy to 18s a sack and spring 8s to 14s 6d a case. Carrots: 4s to Us a case. Cauliflowers: 8s to 12s a case. Onions: 22s 6d to 30s a case. Parsnips: 4s to 18s 6d case. Sprouts: 25s to 31s a case. White Turnips: 12s to 15s a sugar bag. Kumcras: 7s to Ils a sugar bag. Spring Onions: 5s to 7s a dozen. Radishes: 5s a dozen. Parsley: Is to 2s 6d a bunch. Lettuces: to 24s a dozen. Leeks: 5s to 18s a case. Celery: 36s a dozen. Spinach: 7s to Ils a case. Cucumbers: 23s to 28s a carton. New potatoes: «d Io IOJd a lb Tomatoes: 2s 6d to 4s 6d a lb. Grapefruit: 20s to 28s a case. Tree Tomatoes: 15s to 25s a case. Chinese Gooseberries: 10s a quarter case.
