(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SAIGON, Sept. 12. Hundreds of American jet bombers yesterday carried out the greatest aerial assault of the war on North Vietnam, said United States military spokesmen. American pilots logged a record of 171 missions without any loss of planes. The American planes struck oil depots, anti aircraft sites. warehouses. boats, bridges, railroads, missile and radar sites, ferry complexes, river fords, highways and junks.
