OBITUARY
Rev. K. L. Warren (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Sept. 7. The Presbyterian minister of Awatere-Flaxbourne, the Rev. K. L. Warren, died suddenly in the manse in Seddon early this morning. He was 65.
Mr Warren, who had been in ill-health recently, had held several appointments in country parishes, and before taking up the Seddon appointment, he was at St. David’s Church, Christchurch. He was convener of the Presbyterian Church’s standing committee on liquor problems and alcoholism. Ordained at Pahiatua In 1932 he also served in South Auckland, the Waikato, and Waikari.
Petone Seat.—An executive committee member of the Public Service Association, Mr C. J. Whitmill, aged 27, has been selected as Social Credit candidate for Petone.—(P.A.)
