Inclusion Of Women
(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The inclusion of women's events at a men’s regatta depended on the attitude of each regatta committee, the New Zealand Rowing Association’s chairman (Mr L. E. Brooker) said on Tuesday. He was replying to a statement by the president of the Women's Rowing Association (Miss L. Shelton) that her association was keen to hold several races in conjunction with men's regattas this season.
