MATCH-PLAY DRAW

There are some highly Interesting clashes in the first round of the match play today, with notable Canterbury players in conflict. Broadhurst plays Cleland. Caidwell meets J. F. Logie. E. H. Richards plays M. W. Stanley. M. R. Blank plays L. Elder, and R. E. Clements meets the former Canterbury representative, Murray. Two of the favourites for the title. Murray and Jones, are in the same half. The draw gives Jones a very good chance of advancing to the semi-finals. It is:—
