Accepted With Care

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright)

LONDON, September 7,

The first wreath to arrive at South Africa House in London after the assassination of Dr. Verwoerd was brought by a coloured man, the “Sun" reported today. The newspaper printed a large picture showing a West Indian delivering the wreath which, the newspaper said, was “received with caution.”

The messenger, who works for West End Florists, “was surrounded by three doormen as he entered the Embassy.

“The wreath was examined carefully before it was accepted,” the “Sun” said.
