Transmitter In Use Soon

(N Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. The Channel One television transmitter on Mount Kaukau should begin transmission by the end of next month. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation’s director of engineering, Mr W. L. Harrison, said tonight that the bulk of the work was finished. The transmitter will give a signal 10 times more powerful than the present Mount Victoria transmitter.
