STRONG SUN FLARE
Havoc Wrought In Radio (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) BOULDER (Colorado), Sept. 6. The most potent sun flare in nearly six years has wrought havoc with longrange radio transmission throughout the world. The flare, an explosion on the sun that sends a stream of electromagnetic particles through the earth’s atmospnere, began on Friday. Physicists at the Institute for Telecommunication Sciences and Aeronomy at Boulder say it should be about over.
