FIGHTING IN CHINA
Five Areas (N Z Press Assn.—Copyright/ TOKYO, Sept. 6. The Jugoslav news agency. Tanjug, in a report from its Peking bureau, said violence had broken out in Tien Tsin. Chang Hsa. capital of Hunan province. An Hwhei province, Harbin or Pin Kiang, Shensi province, and Heilung Kiang, a province bordering the Soviet Union. Tanjug said there had been widespread fighting in Tien Tsin, a port city of 2.5 million people, with a “large number” of injuries. It said 300 students broke Into the provincial government headquarters at Hofei, capital of An Hwei province and burned files and furniture. and pulled down a photograph of Mao. Tanjug said placards in Peking denounced the first secretary of the An Hwei Communist Party as opposing the “cultural revolution.”
