Request To Board
The next steps towards adoption of the St Albans section of the northern motorway will be a request to the National Roads Board to adopt the plans in principle as the basis for further investigations leading to more detailed design and later a ministerial requirement. In the meantime the City Council will be asked to include the interim motorway corridor for control of development in its undisclosed town planning scheme. Owners of properties affected will be sent a descriptive pamphlet on the proposals and the present scheme stage of their development and giving the extent of the commitment of the City Council and the Roads Board.
