“NAUGHTY BUT NICE”

Licence Not Renewed

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.)

SYDNEY, August 30.

Australia’s only “topless go-go” restaurant, which features go-go girls wearing briefs and little else, has been refused a renewal of its liquor licence. The Licencing Court magistrate, Mr J. L. Fitzmaurice, ruled: “the entertainment is not of a type acceptable to those male and female members of the public who constitute the bulk of the community.” The restaurant, situated in Sydney’s Kings Cross, advertises its entertainment as “its naughtly but nice.” It is to appeal against the decision.
