Pound Weaker On Dollar

The pound weakened further against both the United States and the Canadian dollar, according to the telegraphic transfer exchange rates advised by the Bank of New South Wales yesterday. A little ground was also lost on the Danish and Norwegian crowns and the West German mark.

But the pound gained on the Austrian schilling, Belgian franc, Dutch guilder, and Swedish crown, and was unchanged on the currencies of France, Italy, Japan ,and Switzerland.
