A friendly white goat with an insatiable appetite for grass, silver paper, trouser cuffs, apple cores, and cigarettes, took a walk round Cathedral square early last evening. Passers-by turned in surprise and a constable incredulously eyed the goat and the two students leading IL He followed them for a short distance before deciding they were harmless and unlikely to menace anyone. One of the two young men. Mr P. Richards, of Cheltenham street, ex-
plained that the animal belonged to a young woman who lived in a bed sitting-room across the road from his place. “Normally Goat (they have not decided on a suitable name) is tied up on the lawn but now and again we take it for a walk.” While Mr Richards was speaking, Goat placed its forelegs on the shoulders of Mr W. Colligan and tried to nibble his beard. “Come on, we’d better be moving if he’s that hungry,” said Mr Richards.
