(N.Z. Press Association)
NELSON, August 22. Mi's Mata Rae, aged 105, flew from Nelson to Wellington last evening. She is the oldest passenger carried by N.A.C., according to the corporation’s Nelson branch manager (Mr C. F. Bryan). The oldest passenger flown previously was a 101-year-old man, who flew from Wellington toN apier last year. Mrs Rae, who speaks only Maori, said through an interpreter that she loved flying, but it frightened her.
