Suspension Of Wing The Marist Rugby League wing, C. C. Worters, has been suspended until he appears be fore the Canterbury board of control's judiciary committee Worters, who made his Canterbury debut this season and played three matches for the province, was ordered from the field In the match against Lin wood at the Show Grounds on Saturday. The referee (Mr P. Yaxley) charged Worters with continual arguing against his decisions and abusive language. Worters failed to appear before the judiciary committee last evening, and was suspended in the meantime. The sentence, an automatic one, will seriously affect Marist’s chances of winning the O’Brien’s tournament. Marist, the co-leader with Addington, has yet to play Hornby and Addington. Under 17 Final Canterbury will play Waikato at Huntly on September 4 in the final of the New Zealand under 17 Rothmans tournament Waikato won the northern zone final against Auckland, and Canterbury defeated Wellington and West Coast in the southern tournament. Appointed Mr T. C. Houston (Canterbury) has been appointed to referee the representative match be tween West Coast and Otago at Dunedin on August 27. Wanganui Wins Gymnastics Wanganui won the secondary school boys’ championship at the National Schools Gymnastic Festival at Cowles Stadium. With 201.85 points, Wanganui won from Auckland (192.55) and Wellington (187.05). During the festival demonstrations were given by the Husky Club of the University :of Washington.
