WOMAN BURNED

Mrs Veronica Dallimore, aged 49, of 38 Union street, suffered severe burns when her dressing-gown caught alight about 12.14 a.m. yesterday. She was admitted to the Burwood Hospital. She was on the seriously ill list last evening and her condition was reported to be fair. Mrs Dallimore lives alone in a bach. She was sitting or lying on a couch when an old heater, without a guard, set fire to her dressing-gown. The fire brigade, an ambulance and the police were called. The fire caused slight damage to the couch and the floor.
