Greymouth Competitions
The 52nd annual festival of the Greymouth Competitions Society began yesterday morning, being declared officially open by the Mayor of Greymouth (Dr. B. M. Dallas) prior to the beginning of the evening session at Wesley Hall, where the vocal and instrumental section took place. The national dancing, which has attracted record entries, was held in St. Columba Hall. The judges are: vocal and instrumental, Mr W. Woodley * Christchurch); speech.
