Birtwistle Hopeful

(NZ. Press Association) ROTORUA. The Canterbury and Al! Black winger, W. M. Birtwistle, has real hopes of returning to Rugby this season —perhaps in time for the fourth test against the Lions. Birtwistle said this yesterday after a light training run in Rotorua where he has been receiving hydrotherapy and physiotherapy treatment for a hamstring injury. The winger ran six times around the Rotorua Sportsdrome, building up speed all the way until he w'as stretching out freely in the last two laps.
