Carrying On Business
‘'The Press" Special Service HAMILTON, August 10. The business of Fleetwood Motors, Ltd., Victoria street Hamilton, is now being carried on by Shelly Motors. Ltd., of Wellington. The trading licence of Fleetwood Motors was cancelled by Mr Stewart Hardy. S.M.. after he had found the company guilty of two breaches of the Motor-Vehicle Dealers' Act. The Companies Office register in Wellington gives the directors of Fleetwood Motors as Messrs A. L. and J. Shelly, of Wellington, and B. W. Mundy, of Hamilton.
The capital of the company is listed as being made up of 12.1100 £1 shares of which 3000 are held by T. and J. Shelly. Ltd.. Wellington. 4000 by A. L. Shelly. 4000 by B. W. Mundy, and 1000 jointly by G. A. Parsons and H. K. Palmer, both of Wellington. The company lodged an appeal against the Magistrate's sentence on July 25 and a date for the hearing of the appeal has not yet been set. Mr A. L. Shelly, of Wellington, said in Hamilton that Shelly Motors, Ltd., was temporarily using the Fleetwood Motors premises on an
extension of Its Wellington licence. A registered limited liability company was being formed and would be called Independent Moton-., Ltd., he said. The company was awaiting the granting of a new licence by the Magistrate’s Court with which an application for the licence has been lodged. Mr Shelly said the formalities of appointing directors for the new company had not yet been completed. The manager of Shelly Motors in Hamilton is Mr D. Bransgrove, of Stratford, formerly of Auckland.
