HEALTH STAMPS First-Day Sales Reach £105,038
(New Zealand Press Association! WELLINGTON, August 10. Health stamps worth £105,038 were sold out on the first day of the Health Stamp campaign. Sales were £3974 more than last year.
Auckland sold the largest [number of stamps—£l3,B27 but Greymouth . sold more stamps to each household than any other centre. Its £3397 of sales averaged out at 5s 8d a house. 4s 6d more than Auckland’s Is 2d. which: was the lowest in New Zea-j land. Next to Greymouth is'
Timaru with 4s 4d a house. Christchurch sold £12,351 of stamps or 2s 5d a house. Wellington with first-day sales of £13,052, averaged 3s a house. Other first-day sales were:— Oamaru. £1534 (4 2d a ; house); Nelson, £2867 (3s ;10d):. Westport, £495 • (3s 10d); Blenheim, £1505 (3s 7d): Dunedin. £7116 (3s 2d).
