DIVING FOR A DEER.—A wildlife officer diving for a deer in the Florida Everglades when the Florida Game Commission used a helicopter and airboats to catch waterlogged animals and move them to drier country. The high water, blamed by the Flood Control District on rains and by hunters on the Flood Control District's pumping programme, has drastically reduced the grazing areas for the deer, which lack the instinct to move away.
