Puccini In Festival

About 60 performances of four operas will be given in next year’s Glyndebourne Festival. The season will open on May 21, with a new production of Puccini’s “La Boheme"—the first Puccini opera at the festival—conducted by John Pritchard and produced by Sir Michael i Redgrave. CavaHi's “L’ormindo" will be conducted by Raymond Leppard who is realising and editing it for performance, as he did Monteverdi’s “L’incoronazione di Poppea.” The other operas will be Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and a revival of Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore.”
