ALLIGATOR FOR AUSTRALIA.—Mr Karl Switak, herpetologist at San Francisco s Steinhart Aquarium, preparing a 9ft bull alligator for shipment to Australia, where it will be on display at Sydney’s Reptile Park. The 3851 b alligator is a gift from the California Academy of Sciences’ Steinhart Aquarium in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. He is to be transported in a reinforced 2001 b. 10ft wooden crate, on board the freighter Sonoma.
