65 CHARGES ADMITTED

Five Australians For Sentence (N.Z. Ptess Association) AUCKLAND, Aug, 8. Five Australians who in May, June and July stole property worth £1139 during a series of burglaries in Auckland today were remanded in custody for sentence until August 19 by Mr H. Jenner Wily, S.M. They pleaded guilty. Gary James Anderson, aged 18, admitted 17 charges: Robert Lewis Delbous, aged 19, 10 charges: William John McEntee, aged 19, 11 charges; Ronald Patrick Cahill, aged 23, 12 charges; and Robert John Fuller, aged 18, 15 charges. With the exception of one car conversion and one theft charge against each, all were burglaries. Sergeant M. K. Huggard said all had been in New Zealand for varying periods and all were, at the time of their arrest on July 27, unemployed. Property worth £203 had not been recovered, he said. Damage done to premises amounted to £237, and total restitution would be £440.
