POST IN TAHITI

Appointment By Air NX Mr R. J. Withers, the agency advisory officer for Air New Zealand in Christchurch, has been appointed manager of its Tahiti office. His appointment will take effect on September 12. Although Air New Zealand was recently granted air rights to fly again into Tahiti it is not yet known when this service will begin. Mr Withers came to Christchurch as chief booking officer in November, 1958, almost 18 months after he joined the airline in Auckland. Mr Withers is succeeding Mr R. G. Millensted who will take up the post of manager in Fiji for Air New Zealand

on September 19. Mr Millensted has served with the airline for 18 years. He has wide administrative and engineering experience. As manager at Fiji he will be responsible for the airline’s representation in Fiji, Eastern and Western Samoa, Tonga, the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, the New Hebrides and the British Solomon Islands Protectorate.
