TWO HOUSES SOLD
One Passed In At Auction A house at 75 Thackeray street, Waltham, was sold for £2820 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr E. G. Keenan. The house, on a section of 28 perches, zoned residential B, has three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. The Government valuation is £1650. The initial bid was £l5OO. There were 10 bids of £lOO, six bids of £5O, and two of £lO.
A weatherboard house at 50 Wairarapa terrace was passed in at £4300. The sale was held on account of the estate of G. M. Herriott by Mr N. H. McCrostie. The house has two livingrooms, three bedrooms, and a kitchenette. There is also a garage on the section of 33.9 perches. The Government valuation is £3450.
A house at 9 Harvey terrace, Richmond, has been sold by private treaty by N. H. McCrostie and Company.
The property was passed in at £2900 when offered at auction recently.
